Last Three weeks

Well it is almost time for Triples 2014 and despite a bit of a wobble this week I am getting set for the weekend. I have all figures back and a huge THANK YOU to all our painters. I have the last few base's to paint and then I will grab some pictures to share.
As you may have noticed I have not been around this year and I wish I could say it is because life has been too full of fun, truth is I came very near to a complete metal break down early in the year and  it was only the support and help of my family which kept me on track.
I have to be honest and say that while it has been great to start and be involved with BfC and I still am amazed about how much help and support the blogger comunity has given the project, I will be happy to get Triples over and start the auction for the figures.
I wanted to take this chance to again thank each and every one of you for all your help and support and to say sorry to any who have been offended by my cutting of all ties I have shut my google account and the blog is now mothballed my FB account has been cut back to just my family and I no longer use any Forum's.
As I said at the top I should have some pictures to share very soon and hopefully I will be able to say hi to many of you at Triples.

Flags of war

So one of the first companies that offered help was Flags of War, I sent a list of the units we are using in our game last week and today I got a letter from Iain and in it was these fantastic flags. Now all the Regular units will look splendid with their own fantastic colours.
Thank you very much Iain and the answer is yes I like them very much.

First Completed Units

The figures are starting to return to me thick and fast, so my basing is going well I have two units awaiting texture while two more have the paint drying on the base before dry brushing. But I have the first three fully completed units and they look fantastic.
Once I have some better pictures of all units I will create a page each for the French and British with plenty of pictures of each unit.
But for now here are some rough pictures of the first two French and the first British Units for your own Bloggers For Charity Project, again a huge well done to all involved as I continue to get great feedback from all areas of our hobby about just how great people think our little idea is.

Sorting things out

I am slowly getting things sorted and into order after Loki had to step down to concentrate on family. I have made a few big decisions that I hope you will not mind. Any figures that have not yet been posted are not going to go out, I am sorry if you have been waiting for your figures but I just do not think I will have the time to get them posted and returned and based before we need to be running a few test games. The Terrain Mat we will be using is a big investment so I plan to keep this to be used by BfC in (hopefully) future events.
I am slowly contacting our supporters to confirm details but I could do with a quick confirmation from all you blog followers that you will still be happy to support BfC this year and years to come or do you feel we should get this year sorted and call it a day?
I have contacted the reenactment guys and they have confirmed they will be attending. On the weekend I will be staying with my Old man and our friend just down the road from the venue on Saturday night so will check out the local area for some where we can all meet up for a meal and general catch up.
Anyway I had best get off for now as I still have a few emails to fire off

Peace James

Terrain Plans

So with the expansion of BfC and the road trip to Europe we have been looking at making transport easy. The figures I can pack securely in travel box's but the original plans for terrain boards would have not left much room in the car for bloggers. After a search around we have been able to get a terrain mat which will be in its own solid postage case. We are using Terrain Mat and at the present moment we are planing to use this for maybe a couple of years BfC before offering it up for auction but plan's are not set in concrete yet.
I would like to thank my Dad (Paul Brewerton) for sorting this out for us.

The dates have been set as the last post showed so if anyone is planning to come along and join the fun let me know so I can sort out numbers. I will be staying overnight on the Saturday so hope that as many Bloggers as possible can get together for a meal and a few drinks
